“ Great Views and Amazing food! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Amazing specials and the desert was amazing. ”
“ This place is delicious! The food did not disappoint, we liked it so much we actually ate here twice in one week. However, the second time we went, which was the Saturday right before mother day the hosts weren’t very helpful. We had reservations and they had use wait about 40 minutes to be seated without many updates as to how long it would take. Aside from that, I tried to surprise my mom with a mother’s day dessert, I asked the hostesses (3 at the time were present) to tell the server to bring a specific dessert with a candle, they did not alert my server. The hosts were obnoxious. The service otherwise was fantastic and the food was amazing, wish the hostesses were as good as the food. ”
“ Food was excellent. We had lunch there on a Saturday and sat out by the lake. It was a day that the lake was shrouded in smoke from the Mosquito Fire but it was still a pleasant experience. The Buratta/Tomato salad was great and the fried artichoke hearts were spectacular too. Food was beautifully prepared and served hot from the kitchen. Would definitely recommend. Went back to the future when we saw this Delorean in the parking lot also. ”
“ Had a nice dinner right in front of a nice window spot with bay views. Dinners were traditional American but well done. Had the clam linguine with sausages to give it nice flavor. My partner had a salmon dish that was also quite nice. Calamari for an app. Add a few glasses of wine making an excellent way to finish a day on the slopes ”
“ We visited Jacks for dinner on Friday, didn’t have reservations but got a table on the lower level. The interior is very cosy and has a cabin-like atmosphere with a nice view of the lake. We ordered the spicy edamame, Thai salad and Udon. The edamame is amazing! Would highly recommend it. Udon and the Thai salad were good too- both a little plain compared to the edamame. For dessert we had the sticky toffee with vanilla ice cream- would recommend that too! Our server was very friendly and helpful. Overall would definitely visit again. ”
“ Fire. Great service. Came in on a Saturday fairly close to close and they were helpful (not saying you should come too close to close). The clam chowder was awesome, bit more thick and creamy than some would expect but I loved it, wished I got more. Also the Calamari was really really good. Possibly best I’ve had. Finally had the ribeye plate was great. Ribeye itself was an interesting cut but wasn’t bad. It was cooked like I wanted it to be. Mashed potatoes with the gravy were a star of the show on this plate. ”
“ When you’re searching for a nice place for a special occasion, look no farther than Jake’s On The Lake in Tahoe City. Plenty of parking, attentive servants, great scenery, excellent choice of libations, and plentiful selections for appetizers, main courses and dessert. Staff is nonintrusive so you can socialize without being rushed from course to course. The food preparation assures a fresh meal although the clam chowder was a little cold for my taste. Recommend that you make reservations well in advance, because they reward those who have planned well ahead, with seating affording the best views. ”
“ Amazing location! Love the view! We arrived on a beautiful sunset. The food and service are top class. This is a must visit place in Lake Tahoe. The halibut is perfect. The chicken is juicy, and the clam chowder is just right. The service staff is as friendly as you would get. ”
